"Since 2009", Grassroots California founder and CEO, Ryan Connolly, has grown our counter-culture lifestyle brand into an international success. But it hasn't always been easy, especially this year:

And growth is something we are incredibly proud to celebrate. Grassroots hats are now sold in all 50 states and multiple countries around the world. In the last decade-plus-one, we've opened (and closed) multiple storefronts, started new locations around the world, and now we're currently surviving a global pandemic. With under 20 employees, this small-business is truly a special effort, embracing art, music, cannabis, lifestyle, and everything that makes us unique.
Each year, we commemorate our brand's growth with a special collection of hats and apparel. Since year 1, the Grassroots Anniversary line concepts have been themed around the traditional anniversary gifts for that year. Maybe you noticed the diamond theme last year for our 10th anniversary? Or the pottery stylings of year 9? Year 11 brings the traditional gifts of steel and jewelry, which we incorporated into the graphics, patterns, and materials for this collection. The main graphic features our mascot bear fitted in steel necklace and crown. The architectural patterns and metal accents (such as the visor chain and women's hoodie graphic) pay homage to steel. While the 11th Anniversary Collection drop was delayed due to COVID-19, we're proud to announce that it is finally here! Starting Friday, June 26, 2020, the 11th Anniversary men's and women's hats, t-shirt, and hoodies will be available online and on our new mobile app!
The 11th Anniversary collection includes two new hats: the 11th Anniversary Purple Fitted Hat and the 11th Anniversary Black Snapback hat. The Purple fitted hat features embroidered patterns on the visor and side panels with polished gold accents including the bear on the front and a matching visor chain with a "Grassroots" charm. For the snapback, we have a fully custom fabric on the crown panels and visor with a steel cast 11th anniversary bear on the front. What really makes these hats exceptional is the steel crown embroidery underneath each brim, with satin lining, stash pockets, custom seam taping, and a limited edition sweatband label. Up your hat game and flex in one of these new, blinged-out lids this summer!
Featured apparel in the 11th Anniversary Collection includes this unisex pullover and unisex t-shirt. The cotton tee boasts a custom "V" tie-dye in purple and navy, two of our favorite colors. It pairs perfectly with every hat and hoodie. This unisex pullover is extra cozy with a subtle screen print on the front and a custom purple stripe tie-dye. Unique to this hoodie is the new Kangaroo double-pocket with an additional zippered pocket to store your phone, wallet, keys, etc. There's also a hidden stash pocket and a subtle embroidery on the hood.
The last two pieces of apparel also dropping on June 26, 2020 are these men's and women's tie-dye hoodies. These black and white marble dyed hoodies feature a lowkey 11th anniversary graphic on the front chest and both include a hidden stash pocket and embroidery on the hood. Ladies, we know how you love a little "extra", so we added a special oversized graphic on the back that we think you'll love! These hoodies are going to be perfect for that late summer nights, buzzing around town, and everyday wear.
