Hat designs must be submitted electronically by using the Grassroots Adobe Illustrator design template (see below for instructions).

All design templates should be submitted as

- Adobe .pdf

or

- .ai files

THESE ARE THE ONLY OPTIONS.

To put it simply, all art needs be vector artwork. The only exception is if the art is intended to be digitally printed on the fabric, such as a photo for the inner lining image. If that is the case, the art can be a raster image.

If designs are not submitted in the proper format, they will be disqualified from proceeding forward.

Please mock up the template with any extra notes you feel are important to describe your design. Try to keep your file size as small as possible, preferably no bigger than 10 MB. Remember that if you win, then you can send us your super high-res layered photoshop files, but for now keep it down in file size :)

ALL DESIGNS MUST BE SUBMITTED BEFORE OCTOBER 31, 2018

Send an email with the subject ‘Grassroots Hat Design Contest 2018‘ and attach the completed template file. Send this to Contest@GrassrootsCalifornia.com.

For design questions please email Contest@GrassrootsCalifornia.com. We will attempt to answer all questions but please allow a few days.

BEFORE CREATING A DESIGN, PLEASE NOTE THAT EACH DESIGN:

-Must be original art representing Colorado or Chicago

-Art must not be previously published

-All art and elements used must be original to the creator or open source (no google images, flag images are ok)

-Only files submitted as AI or editable PDFs will be considered

Sponsor further reserves the right, in its sole and unfettered discretion, to verify at any time during the Contest that all necessary Clearances have been obtained and to disqualify any Design if it believes that the necessary Clearances have not been obtained.

*Grassroots will gain rights to the winning designs once the contest has ended.*

*GRC Reserves the right to only produce the Grand Prize Winner.*

HAVE FUN AND SHOW US WHAT YOU GOT!
