Nick “Pumpkin” Alvarado, touched thousands of people with his signature music productions and acclaimed DJ sets at top music festivals and clubs across the US and abroad. He tragically passed away in early 2016, but his generous spirit and magical music will continue to live on.
To honor his memory, Nick’s best friend and Little Giants production partner, Evan “Everyman” Shafran, started The Little Giant Acorn Foundation for The Arts, a non-profit organization that helps children get started in music or the performing arts who otherwise could not afford to do so. Nick absolutely loved to share his passion for music and performance art with the next generation and nothing gave him more joy.
By purchasing the new Pumpkin Black Snapback Grassroots hat, you are helping to ensure that Nick’s spirit continues to shine while ensuring that the next generations of “little acorns” have the means to pursue their creative passions. "The only things we can take with us when we leave this life, this body, this vessel, this existence...are the good deeds we have done for our fellow humans while we are here. That's how Nick lived his life. In service to others" -EVeryman
"The few times I met Nick, he always had the biggest smile on his face and many times rocking a GRC hat. Nick and the GRC team had been talking about making a Pumpkin hat but we were never able to complete the project for him to see it.
After talking with Evan Shafran and through him Nick's family we got the green light to make this hat to honor his legacy with in our music community. "- Ryan Ruga Connolly Owner of Grassroots
