Alex & Allyson Grey
Alex Grey was born in Columbus, Ohio. His father was a graphic designer and encouraged his son’s artistic expression and drawing habit, and Grey went on to work through art school and several jobs as an artist.
In 1975, Alex and Allyson Grey met each other at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. At their meeting, Alex and Allyson underwent an “entheogenically induced mystical experience” that fueled the radical transcendentalism and spiritual journeys that continue to this day.
The Greys have long been advocates of cognitive liberty, embraced by an international sacrament culture as mapmakers and spokespersons for the visionary realm. They’ve painted on stage in dozens of cities in front of thousands of people, exploring themes of chaos, order, secret writing, and human anatomy in their work, and now they’re bringing it to their partnership with us.
We’re honored to have access to the visionary works of Alex and Allyson Grey for our hats, pins, and facemasks. Their art has changed many lives; maybe it can change yours.
